Strawberry Vinaigrette


Our strawberry vinaigrette "dresses up" your favorite spinach salad and makes a great pour over sauce for vanilla ice cream. Carapelli light olive oil provides a subtle hint of olive oil flavor without compromising the sweet, yet delicate flavor of our favorite springtime berry.

Ingredients
1 cup fresh or frozen sliced strawberries
2 tablespoons Carapelli balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup Carapelli Extra Light Olive Oil

Cooking Directions

In work bowl of food processor or blender, puree strawberries until smooth. Add vinegar, sugar and pepper until combined. Gradually add olive oil and mix until well blended. Makes about 1 cup. Chill until ready to serve.

Refrigerate any leftover dressing.
